Barrier-Free Banking

We successfully continued the Barrier-Free Banking Program, which we launched in 2008 as a first in the sector. Barrier-free Yapı Kredi ATMs, specially designed for physically and visually impaired customers, provide service across Türkiye and an online chat application is available for hearing-impaired customers. At ATMs open to all our customers, we provide free transactions to our customers with disabilities and priority rights on their calls to the Customer Communication Center. Thus, we support the inclusion of disabled customers in the financial system.

We remove barriers with our Barrier-Free ATM and Barrier-Free POS for the visually impaired, Barrier-Free ATM for the orthopedically impaired, and Online Chat services for the hearing impaired. Moreover, we serve hearing-impaired customers in sign language during video calls carried out for remote customer acquisitions.

With the cooperation between Yapı Kredi Publications (YKY) and Assistive Technology and Education Laboratory for Individuals with Visual Disabilities (GETEM), every book published by Yapı Kredi Publications is made available to the visually impaired persons simultaneously with the readers under the project "No Barriers for My Country". In addition, with the "Book Reading Project", we added the books read by Yapı Kredi employees to the online audiobook library accessible by visually impaired persons.
