Yapı Kredi obtains ~US$ 505 mln as part of its DPR securitisation program
On 26 July 2013, Yapı Kredi obtained ~US$ 505 mln (€ 115 mln and US$ 355 mln) of financing within the framework of its Diversified Payment Rights (DPR) securitisation program. The proceeds of the financing entered Yapı Kredi’s accounts on 26 July 2013. The financing was received in five series, of which four series with 5 years maturity and one series with 13 years maturity. This is the largest amount obtained as part of a Turkish DPR program since 2011 as well as being the first DPR transaction in Turkey in 2013.
Mitsubishi UFJ Securities, Wells Fargo Securities, Raiffeisen Bank International and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe Ltd acted as joint lead arrangers of the deal.
European Investment Bank (“EIB”) also participated in the transaction and invested US$ 130 million with 13-year maturity. EIB’s investment marks the longest maturity series in the Bank’s DPR program. The proceeds of EIB’s investment will support Yapı Kredi in providing financing to renewable energy and energy efficient projects as part of the Bank’s customer-oriented business strategy and focus on social responsibility.
